The Dachshund Derby originated at SoCal Wienerfest in 2018. Each year since, weenies have come from far and wide to show off how fast their little legs can fly.

64 of our fiercest four legged friends bound down the beach to race to the finish. Although every wiener is a winner, only one can be the fastest weenie in the west! Don't underestimate these shorties. Long, lean, and low to the ground, these racers rush by in a flash of fluff!

Long hair, short hair, wire hair, cream, red, black & tan, dapple, pie bald, brindle, miniature, tweenie, standard, four legged, or on wheels: wiener dogs of all shapes, sizes, and abilities run the race track for a chance to join the Wienerfest Wieners' Circle.
